Childhood Problems

What do you see May 7th

Hello tree

Can you see me?

I’m standing right in front of you

I’m very scared and very blue

I ran away from home you see

Really don’t know what’ll become of me

I’m standing here, the lake behind me

If I slip I’ll wrap my arms around thee

I don’t know what I’m going to do

I wish I could live here with you

My mother died and dad remarried

My life has become harried

I really don’t want her in our lives

She’s always hitting me on my behind

Why did my mother have to go

I truly, truly miss her so

A thought just came to me

I’ll go to my grandmother and  I’ll see

If she and I can live happily

Thank you, Mr. Tree

I’m so glad you listened to me

I feel much better now, so I’ll let you be
