What a Mess

The following was written for a challenge called Saturday Mix – Mad About Metaphor over at Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie.

The classroom was a zoo

the teacher had loose screws

she didn’t know what to do

The classroom was a mess

Looked like a tornado, no less

Locks Rhyme Time

The following poem was written for a challenge over at Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie called Saturday Mix – Rhyme Time.

You will be given six rhyming words* and need to use all of them (but not limited to these) in your response, which should be a poetry form of your choice.

The words are mock, shock, stock, lock, hock, and block.

I stood in shock

looking down the block

Taking stock

of all the locks

on the dock

Surely this was a mock

Needed now, a glass of hock
