Happy to Have Two – Six Sentence Story

The following was written for a challenge called #SixSentenceStoryover at Denise’s. This week’s prompt word is “Hunch”.

Everything was ready, salads were made, veggies ready to cook, table set, and wine chilling. All that was left to do was barbeque the ribs and cook the veggies.

After going outside to start the grill I came back into the kitchen to season the ribs and to get my BBQ sauce and tools ready to go.

This was to be the first family meal since COVID started and I was looking forward to seeing everyone.

Halfway through cooking the ribs, the gas ran out. I had a hunch this was going to happen and so happy that I’d filled a second tank.

  2. Wow, you were ready! It was a sad reminder of how slack I am with propane tanks.

  3. Excellent planning. I’ve always been a “always be prepared” kind of person. Current days? Even more so, lol
Eating my tuna with sliced avocado sandwich at my desk at work right now seems a bit pedestrian after reading about ribs and veggies on the grill. I need a cookout! 😀
