Guilty or Innocent – Part 4

When Pete walked into the principal’s office, he was shocked to see his mother sitting there looking like something was very wrong and hoped that there was nothing wrong with his dad; why else would she be here.
Taking a seat Pete looked over at his mother and asked, “Is everything okay?”
“Principal Taylor has something he wants to ask you.”
“Pete, as you know we do random locker checks and when we looked in yours we found this, (as he held the baggie up) and I’d like to know why you have this in your locker when you know it is against the law to be in possession of it and against all school rules to have it on this campus.
“I don’t know how it got there, it isn’t mine, but I think I might know who put it there, but I don’t want to give up his identity, or I’ll be known as a snitch.”
“Well young man if you don’t talk to your mother and me about this I’m afraid that I’m going to have to suspend you and have the police look into this matter.”
To be continued …

Linking up to Six Sentence Story over at Denise’s. The prompt word this week is “Identity”.
Will Pete spill his guts or take the suspension and maybe even a call to the police?
Please stay tuned for next weeks episode 🙂
I am beginning to wish your SSS was daily. A whole week we have to wait? No. Way too long. You know how to keep us all in suspense.

It’s between a rock and a hard place for him, i hope he comes out smelling like a rose and the skunk who did it to him gets caught by some other mistake he makes himself.

aiiyee… good for Pete (for reasons that he might not be in a position to appreciate, though nothing says that he won’t mature into a cynical person.*)
makes a body think of Lord Acton, the power corrupts guy.
Rules are the highest value, provided you derive power and authority from them…
not liking this principle guy**
(*like some commenters I could name… lol)
** clearly a roger of the highest order…
