QUESTIONS:

Can you bake a cake?   (credit for this question goes to Di, who asked it on her post

https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2020/02/29/its-a-mystery/

recently.   Thanks, Di! After last week’s SYW, we needed a little bit of sweet and light!)

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not?

What’s something your family would be surprised to learn about you?

My answers:

Yes, I can bake a cake. Birthday cakes, cheesecakes, carrot cake.  The cakes I’d like to learn how to make are Lithuanian cakes.

Writing a short story, poem, or sharing a recipe that I’ve created.

Yes, I’ve always eaten the crusts on my sandwiches. Waste not, want not  🙂

When I was a little girl I so badly wanted to grow up and become a famous singer.

  1. Thanks Susan for Sharing Your World with us! It’s a talent to bake a good cake, and to make cheesecake? REALLY TALENTED! Lithuanian cakes? You’ll have to share what those are, because they sound intriguing! 🙂

      • Yea, as you might guess, she was the shortest. As children, we never are satisfied.

        • Not just children. I as an adult have always wanted curly hair. My hair is straight. Even if I try to curl it, it’s all out in less than an hour.

          • When I was younger, mine curled, and I used to go all out to make it straight. Now it’s straight (age or consequnce of illness, not sure) and I’d love to see it curl again. Never satisified.

    • I don’t sing a lot anymore. I can’t stand my own voice 🙂 I was always in church and school choirs though when I was growing up.

I love baking cakes . They aren’t fancy and decorated, just tasty and comforting. Red velvet and carrot are two of my favorites.
