Joe was off to the plant.
He moved so fast you’d think there were ants in his pants.
When he got there the parking lot was bare.
He realized it was Sunday and he did swear.
He could have slept in, then he grinned, and off he drove fast as the wind.
When he got home, he went back to bed and slept all day … like the dead.

PROMPT WORD: PLANT
I used to rush off to work. Now I rush to the recliner! Retirement is great. Good six. Good use of the cue.

Not sure I’d be so lighthearted about rushing to work on a day off, lol

Ha! I did something similar once. It is nice to get the “bonus” lie in time.
Fun Six!

Sometimes getting to go back to bed is even more fun than sleeping in, especially if it is unexpected. Fun story/poem!
