The Riverbed

CCC#22

What once was a flowing river

now no water is delivered

Rocks remain, all the same

some would say this is a shame

Weeds have gown

between the  stones

Now a walking path for bears

They’ve taken it over

and made it theirs

Maybe soon let’s presume

The rains will flood

and new fish will bud

How wonderful it is, the thought that water will flow again. I love this Susan.

  3. It’s really rather lovely as it is, but yes, soon the rains will come to cover it fish will surely follow! Nicely done!

  4. I’ve seen a lot of those dry waterways that only fill up when it rains in the Santa Cruz mountains, I think they’re called class 3 streams.
