What once was a flowing river
now no water is delivered
Rocks remain, all the same
some would say this is a shame
Weeds have gown
between the stones
Now a walking path for bears
They’ve taken it over
and made it theirs
Maybe soon let’s presume
The rains will flood
and new fish will bud

How wonderful it is, the thought that water will flow again. I love this Susan.

I’ve seen a lot of those dry waterways that only fill up when it rains in the Santa Cruz mountains, I think they’re called class 3 streams.

Isn’t that just south of San Jose?

Yes it is, the summit is the county line between Santa Cruz County to the south and Santa Clara County to the north.
