Finally a Sign of Spring
Not the prettiest picture by far
To some, it may seem bizarre
Looking for signs of Spring
Finding, wanting to do the highland fling
It was a beautiful sunny day
A bit brisk, but that was okay
As long as you stayed on
The sunny side of the street
You were able to feel the suns heat
Spring has finally arrived for me
As you can look up and see
The picture I took
of the melting snow
Soon that new grass will need to be mowed

The weather is so uncertain–I heard that we’re expecting a HOT summer here in the Pac NW, USA…and I wonder if that means a worse winter to follow. Can’t worry about it since we can’t control it…but I’m thinking I should order some better boots.

These days who knows. I’d buy the better boots though, just to be safe.

I can understand how you’d want to write poetry at winter’s end. Easy for us Brits to forget what an abysmal season you’ve had. 🙂

We sure have. I don’t expect it will be any better next winter.

Well, I don’t know where you’re situation, but I heard that parts of the states can expect more snow in early April. Ouch. I feel for those affected.

I’m in Ontario, Canada and yes it still can snow in April.

Though I do remember one Easter Devon and Cornwall had blizzards and snowdrifts, and even sunny Gt Yarmouth was exceedingly cold. 1999, I believe it was. 🙂
