Healthy Spiky Square
Asparagus has to be my favorite vegetable. Not only tasty but loaded with vitamins as well. It’s so costly in the offseason so I tend to only buy it when it’s in season. I love it raw, cooked, and pickled. Wrapped in bacon and roasted in the oven is so delicious. Great addition to a Caesar drink. Do you like asparagus? I know not everyone does. Please let me know your answer in the comment section below.
This picture (must be square) is for a photo challenge over at Becky’s. #Spiky March Squares.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Not sure I should tell you this – feel free to delete this comment.
Yesterday I was tossing around the idea of a poem that involved eating asparagus and then relieving oneself in the Chicago River in an effort to help the cause. (You may be aware that they dye the river green for St. Pat’s) I decided against the poem – bad taste and all; besides, not at all something I would do. Perhaps I’d had a beer or two when the idea came to me?
I’m kinda into nature – camping & stuff – sometimes asparagus grows wild along the roadsides in the Midwest. A quick douse in bottled water and munched as you drive across the spring fields – that’s the best recipe.

LOL, No I wasn’t aware of them dying the Chicago River green for St. Paddy’s day. I bet that wild asparagus is great!

Oh yea, you can’t get a vegetable much more spikey than the asparagus. One of my favourite veggies 🙂 Good photos, rally captures it.
