Storm Watch

The day started out sunny but then suddenly the sun disappeared, and the rain came down fast and furiously, with alerts on the tv, warning that the winds were high and to possibly expect a tornado or hurricane.

Avoid going outside, bring your pets inside, stay off the roads, until further notice, is what was on the local tv channels.

If you cannot prevent travel, drive safely and stay tuned to radio station WKRP for storm watch updates.

There was no way that I could stay put as I had to pick up my sister who was flying in from Spain providing her plane could land.

Running out to the car I felt the rumble of thunder and following the sky lit up illuminating my sight.

Drenched to the bone I started the car, put on the heat with the defrost setting, slowly backed up, and the rain was gone in a flash.

    You flipped the anxiety switch from the very first sentence. It’s bad enough our senses telling us the weather is turning bad. Hearing the warnings on the tv and radio somehow totally amplifies the fear. Very visual too!
