Trunky the Elephant

elephants

A few from my collection

Trunky the elephant and his brothers were out playing in the field one day. “Who’s hungry?” asked Trunky,

Everyone chimed in with an I am and raised their trunks.

Trunky doled out a banana to each of his brothers as he was the oldest and promised his mom, he’d take care of everyone for the day. He had three brothers that he just adored.

Elephants consume a variety of greens, fruits, plants, bamboo and even tree bark which is their favorite. They love to eat, and eighty percent of the day is munching away.

“Is there anything else to eat?”, asked Edgar? “I’m really hungry.”

“I think we could go munch on some of that grass over yonder,” replied Trunky.

Over to the nice green grassy patch in the field they went.

Just before they were about to go home for the night Trunky spotted a poacher. He motioned everyone to go deep into the forest.

“Why are we hiding?”, asked Elwood. “Are we playing hide n seek?”

“Shush” Trunky said.

Trunky managed to get his brothers home safe and sound that day but there always were predators hunting on the land.

Leave the elephants

Alone I say

Do not harm them in any way

If you see a poacher near

Approach them and do not fear

Make a loud sound to warn the prey

So they can safely get away
